Twitter: The certification badge granted to accounts of deceased stars
Since Elon Musk bought Twitter at the end of 2022, the controversies have been linked. The latest is certification badges for certain accounts. Obtaining the little blue badge now requires subscribing to Twitter Blue and paying $8 per month.
Still, some accounts have recently gotten their little blue tick back without doing anything . Among them are many deceased personalities , reports Numerama . The writer Terry Pratchett (died in 2015), Senator John McCain (2018), footballer Pelé (2022), basketball player Kobe Bryant (2020) and actor Chadwick Boseman (2020) are particularly concerned.
